Masuduzzaman Rajib : Safayet (5), son of boiler operator Shahidul Islam of Korban Ali Fakir's house in Luddakhali village of Ichakhali union, was admitted to the Shefa Insan Hospital near the old highway of Mirsarai (Bariyarhat-Zorarganj) for hernia operation on 7th September (Thursday). According to the hospital authorities, after all the preparations for the operation, if the surgeon does not regain consciousness after the operation and shows signs of immediate cardiac arrest, the hospital will use its own ambulance to reach Chattogram before evening for advanced treatment. The doctor on duty there declared the child named Safayat (5) dead. Later in the night, the dead body of the child was kept at the Baryarhat Shefa Insan Hospital, after spreading on social media that the child died due to the negligence and wrong treatment of the surgeons, the mother of the dead child, Rahim Uddin Muktar, a local UP member of their village, and some local people tried to intimidate and harass the hospital authorities in various ways throughout the night. . According to confidential sources, considering the fact that the image of the hospital will be damaged under the pressure of UP members and local people, the hospital authorities confirmed the information that 3 lakh Taka will be given to the child's family as compensation. Later in the morning of September 8 (Friday), the body of the child was taken to the village house and the burial of the body was completed after Janaza prayers at 11 am.
